on T No. 07058 /07057 Special train ( Earlier Devgiri Express) & L19 section on CSMT to Firozpur Cantt- CSMT Punjab Mail
Respected sir,
This
is regarding the request for introduction of L1& L1A section from Mumbai to
Secunderabad & Secunderabad to Mumbai on T No. 07058 /07057 Special trains (Earlier
Devgiri Express) & L19 Section on Punjab Mail Special. Both trains were suspended by the railway due
to nationwide lockdown (Covid 19 Pandemic) and the sections running on both
trains were discontinued and now reintroduced as special trains.
Now
South Central railway vide their
notification No. N/T/Spl Train/NED-CSMT/30/11/07 dated 30-11-2020 has announced
to run T No. 07058/07057 Secunderabad-Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus
–Secunderabad daily special Train with revised timing w. e. from 5 &
6-12-2020 respectively. This special train was earlier known as Devgiri Express
and our L1A (In/Out) Section from CST to Manmad
and L1 (In/Out) section from Manmad to Secunderabad functioning on that
train.
Due
to non functioning of section the mail
is being carried out through RTN or by direct booking parcel through railway
parcel train without any fruitful result and caused delay in public mail. The
section under reference has having
better connectivity of Mumbai to Aurangabad Region and Andra and Telangana Circle. i.e. Nashik
Road, Manmad, Aurangabad, Parbhani
Nanded with connectivity to Z1
(Vijiyanagaram-Howrah), Z12 (Secunderabad-Chennai) & Z27
(Secunderabad-Nagpur) with traffic of approximately 1000 to 1200 bags daily. Earlier,
the mail was consigned through Devgiri Express and Tapovan Express.
As regards, Punjab Mail started w. e. from 1st
December, 2020 connected with seven states and earlier L19/MP1/X1/D1 sections were
functioning on Punjab Mail. In this regard, it is brought to notice of your
honour that MP Circle is being booking
mails through Parcel trains and Dropped
at Nagpur , Jalgaon RMS & Bhusawal RMS. UP, Delhi, Haryana , Punjab,
J&K and Uttaranchal circle from Mumbai Central TMO and the average mail traffic is about 900
bags. Earlier, the mail for that route was consigned through Pathankot Express
and Punjab Mail and functioning in 90 seater & 40 seater boggies before
lockdown.
Your
honour is requested to please take up issue with appropriate authority and
reintroduce the L1-L1A Sections on Devgiri Express and L19 Section on Punjab
mail at the earliest in the interest of speedy transmission of public
