Subject: Regarding issuing Tenure Posting Orders at DO HRO & HRO Checking at Central Sorting Division issued in the interest of Service in respect of the staff working in Mumbai CRC/Kalyan RMS at Thane and other mail offices.

                 

Respected sir,

 

         This union has brought to notice that SRM Central Sorting Division has issued tenure posting orders at administrative offices and other offices in the interest of service vide his memo no. B2/9/ Tenure Posting/CSDN/20-21 dtd.31-8-20 in respect of officials working in mail offices.  

 

It is brought to your kind notice that officials who are working in Mumbai CRC or at Kalyan RMS at Thane in night set are actually having genuine domestic problems which they are facing and to cope with that they are either not willing to work in DO /HRO or HRO Checking rather not willing to work in General duty. As your honour knows that in this is Covid-19 situation, the maids are not allowed to work in various Societies and the employees having small kids they are facing problems due to non functioning or non-availability of baby seating in nearby area. Your honour is aware that schools are not functioning and travelling is restricted only for essential services given by administration staff are allowed. Some officials were applied for rule 38 transfer and required to maintain two establishments as their spouse resides with children in different cities and they have to required frequent visit to that place.

 

          Hence in the light of above facts if the officials are forced to join duty under the interest of duty by the department lots of hardship will be faced by them and undue mental pressure will they undergo while performing the duty.   It is therefore requested to kindly consider the genuine case who cannot follow the orders issued by the administration may be relived till the lowdown is called off so that condition of their routine comes under normalcy so that they cannot work under mental pressure of domestic problems due to COVID-19.

         

It will be a kind-hearted decision if those officials who are already working in tenure whose tenure has ended they may be extended to continue work till lockdown ends or continued by changing the work of distributions (Change of existing tables allocated to them)also consider willingness given by the interested officials who given the willingness to work in mail offices but not completed the required 5 years minimum service.  The unwilling officials cannot give justice to their work hence willing officials may please be allowed to work in tenure posts.

 

Your honour is requested kindly look into the matter considering the COVID-19 situation and please give suitable instructions to SRM Central Sorting Division not to insist the unwilling staff to work in tenure posting at various offices and consider willingness in respect of willing officials irrespective of the completion of required minimum service condition in the interest of service for the smooth functioning of administrative offices where tenure posting required. I shall remain highly thankful to you for doing the needful.
