To,

                   The Postmaster General
                               Nagpur Region, Nagpur-440 010

Subject:-      Restoration of the post of Mail supervisor in Nagpur RMS/2.

                   Respected Sir,

Vide RO Nagpur letter No. NR/Mails-1/3-4/Misc/Corr dated 28.08.2012, the Nagpur RMS Parcel Branch was demerge and has been functioned as separate set as Nagpur RMS Parcel from 07-00 to 15-00 hrs w.e.f. 01.09.2012.

In this regard, it is informed that, before merging the parcel branch in Nagpur RMS/2. Two LSG supervisors had been working in Nagpur RMS/2. One as a Mail Supervisor and other one is Registered Supervisor. Both are the sanctioned post on the establishment of Nagpur RMS/2.

The post of LSG Supervisor in parcel branch is also the sanctioned post on the established of Nagpur RMS which is short book at DO level after merging parcel branch into Nagpur RMS/2.

But after separating the parcel branch, the post of Mail Supervisor LSG (NB) is deployed to parcel branch as a parcel supervisor Nagpur RMS/1.

Nagpur RMS/2 is the major set of Nagpur RMS which is functioned under the HSG-I HSA. The revised staff position of Nagpur RMS/2 is 1 LSG Supervisor (R Branch), 18 Sorting Assistant and 14 MTS which is working in Nagpur RMS/2 as under.

As per the postal volume, the post of Supervisor is justified on 6 working officials in one branch.

After implementation of MNOP, the flow of first class mail and second class mail is raised. Hence it is not possible to handle the work of HSG-I HSA and Mail Supervisor in Nagpur RMS/2 simultaneously.

In view of above, the posting of LSG Supervisor is essential and justified on the base of workload and working staff strength.

It is therefore requested kindly intervene in this matter and restore the
post of Mail Supervisor in Nagpur RMS/2 at the earliest.

          With best regards,

                                                                                                   Yours faithfully

Subject:-     Deployment of lying vacant of 3 HSG-I posts of HSG-I HSA    of
Nagpur  Air & Nagpur RMS/3A & 3B to SPC Nagpur.

           Respected Sir,

It is submitted that, due to abolition of Nagpur Air sorting and alternate sets of Nagpur RMS/3A & 3B, 3 posts of HSG-I HSA were lying vacant and no diversion was shown till this date. Thereby this division staff are deprived for the promotion of HSG-I.

At present, the workload of SPC Nagpur is increased and staff of Nagpur RMS had been deployed to the SPC Nagpur with 32 sorting Assistant. Still the work of SPC Nagpur is not managed within the deployed staff. Hence staffs of SPC Nagpur perform OT duty on regular basis to complete the work of excess mails received every day.

Hence on the base of work load and actual working strength of SPC Nagpur, the deployment of lying posts of 3 HSG-1 posts to SPC Nagpur is essential for proper utility of HSG-I and proper disposal of SPC mails.

It is therefore requested to kindly look into the matter & deploy the lying vacant posts of HSG-I HSA at SPC Nagpur on the base of work load & actual working staff strength & as compared with SRO’s 1 post of HSG-I w.e.f. 10.00 to 18.00 hrs duty is necessary at SPC Nagpur, 2 posts of HSG-I may be utilized in alternate set of SPC Nagpur. ASP is a field officer to attach with MBC & SPC Nagpur.

A line of reply is solicited.

          Thanking you

Yours faithfully

P.U. Khadse
