Sub: Regarding updating of gradation list and constitution of DPC for promotion in MMS.

Respected sir,

This is in continuation of this union letter even no. dated 22-03-2019 on the subject cited above.
It is brought to notice of your honour that the gradation list of drivers and other cadres in MMS divisions at circle level is not updated since long is causing non constitution of regular promotions in driver cadres i.e. from ordinary to grade-II, grade II to grade I and grade I to special grade cadre. As per directive on the subject the DPC may be constituted every year for promotion of drivers as there is effect of promotion is being given on the date of DPC not retrospective. Hence drivers are deprived from promotion due to non-observation of DPC for promotion time to time. It is learnt from the staff section of CO Mumbai that the DPC is held up for want of the relevant information from Nashik Postal Division and MMS Pune division. The drivers are being deprived from the promotions due to non submission of record by the concerned divisional head.
Your honour is urged to look into the matter and give suitable instructions to the concerned divisional head for submit the relevant information at the earliest cause to constitution of DPC for promotions to drivers.  I shall remain highly thankful to you for doing the needful.

With warm regards.
Yours sincerely,

(A B Shivtare)
